The Exciting Applications of Virtual Reality in Education


We are well-aware of the ways in which virtual reality is taking the gaming world by storm. We are, perhaps, even more aware of the impact that early forays into augmented reality, in the form of Pokemon Go, have had on children and young people. So, it may seem a logical conclusion that what engages kids in their free time may also be the key to unlocking enthusiasm in the classroom.

US Schoolchildren Take A Virtual Tour of Mars


We need to get more children into STEM subjects. We are advancing into an increasingly technologically focused future, and we are going to need an enthusiastic and dedicated new generation of scientists, technicians, engineers and mathematicians to take the baton and run with it. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a shortage of new recruits coming through the education system in the West, particularly young women, who face numerous institutional and cultural barriers to establishing themselves within these industries. In North America, there could be as many as 2.4 million unfilled STEM positions by 2018.
